The Sheet Metal trade is actually a many faceted trade. There are many different types of sheet Metal work that most tradesmen tend to specialize in a particular branch. For example there are Furnace installers, Roofers (Flashing) installers, Specialty metal (Stainless Steel, Copper etc.) workers and Industrial or Commercial workers (Air handling equipment and ductwork for large buildings).

The newest phase, is the mandatory ventilation required for all residential buildings in Canada. This field has it's own rules and regulations that require a Sheet Metal worker to obtain additional training and licensing. This involves the most simple basic ventilation of a house to "Whole House" environmental air quality control utilizing a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) or Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV).

We have been involved in the furnace installation and light commercial installations part for over thirty five years and in the residential ventilation design  and installation since its inception in Canada.
